O Bilhete de Identidade, é o documento de identificação pessoal que permite identificar o titular como cidadão ou cidadã angolano(a) e sua identidade civil perante quaisquer autoridades públicas ou privadas.
Todos os cidadãos angolanos a partir dos zero meses de idade que ainda não tenham pedido o Bilhete de Identidade angolano, quer residam ou não em território nacional.
É obrigatória a presença da pessoa que será a titular do Bilhete de Identidade, independentemente da sua idade.
